Health and Safety

Safeguarding the health and safety of our employees within a secure working environment is vital. We maintain strict compliance with local health and safety legislation across all locations where we operate, prioritizing proactive measures to prevent workplace accidents, injuries, and occupational hazards. Wellbeing

To promote the wellbeing of Yusen employees a global activity challenge is organized each year as part of our ESG social and environmental initiative. For example,  our employees across the world joined a month-long journey towards wellness. Whether it was a brisk walk during their break, a hike on the weekend, or a jog in the park, every step counted! Together, all our employees aimed to reach a staggering 500 million steps, with each step contributing to a greener planet.

In order to continue to be the world’s preferred logistics supply chain company, we believe it is important to be a company of choice for our employees. The Yusen Connected Colleague Survey allows us to invite employee’s feedback, and gather insights on our strengths and opportunities regarding employee engagement.

We believe that the development of all our workforce, from the (top) management, to our office workers, warehouse employees and drivers is important. We want to create a high-performance culture through the continuous development of our people, that supports in becoming the world’s preferred supply chain logistics company and creating sustainable growth for business and society. 

We develop with a purpose by offering on the job experience, coaching, and formal classroom and online learning. We work with external partners to provide learning content and develop our own. We conduct regular performance development reviews with our people. We identify and nurture our talent. We develop our leaders using our Yusen global leadership framework to be inclusive leaders who navigate change in a global context.

Human Rights 

Yusen Logistics is dedicated to upholding human rights across all of its operations. We adhere to the Human Rights Policy of our parent company NYK. The policy is based on the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights established by the United Nations Human Rights Council.
