Yusen Logistics Becomes the First Logistics Company in Asia to Sign "ONE LEAF+" Agreement

Yusen Logistics Co., Ltd. (President: Hiroyuki Okamoto) has signed an agreement with Ocean Network Express Pte. Ltd. (CEO: Jeremy Nixon, ONE) for "ONE LEAF+", a sustainable shipping solution designed to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, as the first logistics company in Asia.  We will procure carbon footprint savings (environmental benefits) generated by ONE and allocate them to customers working on reducing their Scope 3 GHG emissions.

"ONE LEAF+" is ONE's sustainable shipping solution that uses biofuel derived from waste cooking oil for the operation of vessels, thereby realizing environmentally friendly transportation with lower GHG emissions than those from fossil fuels⁽*¹⁾. Customers can reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions and receive third-party verified GHG emissions reductions certificates.

We have concluded an agreement with ONE for "ONE LEAF+", as the first logistics company in Asia, and have begun procuring carbon footprint savings from ONE. By signing this agreement, we can allocate environmental benefits to customers⁽*²⁾ using our ocean freight services, contributing to their efforts to reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions.

We are actively promoting solutions to reduce GHG emissions in our customers' supply chains. In our air freight solutions, we have already started a service to provide customers with our allocated SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) quotas. Additionally, in December 2024, we introduced a platform to manage GHG emissions reductions in collaboration with Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha.

⁽*²⁾This service will be available to customers utilizing our FCL and LCL transportation services. As a result, we will be ending the carbon offset service for LCL transportation that has been available since April 2022, effective March 31, 2025.
